Our Love Story
Ramiro’s love for basketball brought him to Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas. In Spring 2019, while playing in a tournament in Wichita, Kansas, he connected online with Grace—who just so happened to be living there at the time. Although we didn’t meet in person during that trip, we stayed in touch.
That summer, Ramiro flew to Kansas City to finally meet her. She was seven months pregnant with her daughter, Eve, but that didn’t scare him off—instead, he saw her strength and admired her even more for it.
With Ramiro in Texas and Grace in Kansas, our relationship was long-distance from the start. We took turns visiting each other, learning and growing together through each trip. There were challenges, breaks, and quiet phases—but somehow, they always found their way back to one another.
In the summer of 2023, Grace and Eve moved in with Ramiro to start a new chapter together. As a family, we embraced the changes, created new memories, and found comfort in sharing everyday life.
On New Year’s Eve 2023, surrounded by family, fireworks, and love, Ramiro proposed and Grace said yes through tears of joy. It was a moment full of emotion, years in the making—and one they’ll never forget.
